  • 260

Over 260 Illinois armed service members have lost their lives for our country. Over 1,500 Illinois armed service members have been wounded. Counting their immediate family members, there are likely 10,000+ individuals impacted by their sacrifice. Lets work together to help bridge the educational gaps not provided in the Post-9/11 GI Bill.
  • 15%

Only 15% of the families of wounded soldiers qualify for Veterans Education funds. For those service members who make the ultimate sacrifice, the average age of their children is 6-8 years, and the family income is only about $28,000. It is our responsibility to help fill the educational gaps for these families that our government can not provide.
